Southern California's Hidden Gem; Idyllwild/Pine Cove
After quite the year of busy work and world insanity, you know what I mean. Joe and I were finally able to get away for a few short days.
I will admit, bittersweet, as this trip was planned for my dog, Bear, but he passed away a couple week prior. But hey, if you know me, you know I say everything happens for a reason. If it hadn't been for struggle bus old man Bear, we would have never booked this place. We actually were planning to rent a van and drive the entire PNW until Bear' health started to decline, so we decided to plan for somewhere local.
And that brings us to the wooded hills of Pine Cove, nestled next to Idyllwild, California. A picturesque cozy, yet eccentric little village. We drove our way up the highway and spent a few days tucked away in a private cabin that hugged a hillside in the dreamy mountains looking over Mount San Jacinto.
